Lash Extensions or Lash Lift?

You want a service done, you just don’t know which one. Wondering where to go from there? I can help you out.

Lets start off with the look you’re going for. You are currently unhappy with your natural lashes, and have convinced yourself that you need a service done. Great!

If you’re leaning toward eyelash extensions, no matter the technique, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Eyelash extensions require maintenance every 2-3 weeks, averaging between $80-100 every 2-3 weeks, depending on the option you choose.

  • You can’t wear eyeliner or mascara, or any oil based products around your eyes. I know, I know. I have clients who SWEAR they can’t live without their eyeliner. This is where I would recommend a dramatic set, because it creates an eyeliner effect.

  • Theres a time commitment. If you’re cool with laying completely still with your eyes closed for an hour, then do it. Truthfully, most clients end up knocking out

  • The cool thing? You always look ready, and it cuts a decent amount of time off your morning routine. And trust me, it’s totally worth it.

If you’re considering a lash lift, here are some things to look into:

  • It doesn’t ‘add’ to your lashes. This is nothing like eyelash extensions. You won’t necessarily get additional fullness or length, although if paired with a tint, you can slightly create the illusion of it.

  • No two eyes are the same. If you’re missing a considerable amount of lashes on one eye from picking or a natural shedding cycle, it will show.

  • Its a pretty awesome service overall, with zero downtime or maintenance required. Once your lashes grow back out to their normal state, you’ll be due for a new one. That’s super friendly on your wallet, pretty much affordable for any budget.

I personally will never steer my clients in the wrong direction when they’re deciding between eyelash extensions or a lash lift. I would pick a satisfied client over more money any day. If you’re wondering about which is right for you, give me a call. I would be more than happy to steer you in the right direction.
